The International Tax Strategy Senior Manager is part of an 11-person dynamic Tax Strategy and Controversy team based in Europe. As part of this team, the Senior Manager will have direct interaction with senior leaders across Global Tax and several disciplines within Accenture (e.g., Legal, Treasury, Controllership, etc.), and liaise with external tax counsel and taxing authorities.
Role and Responsibilities:
The International Tax Strategy Senior Manager is responsible for a broad range of corporate tax strategy activities to effectively identify and manage tax risk globally and optimize Accenture’s legal structure. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Managing corporate tax matters and entity planning efforts, including central holding company activities, and review of related tax returns.
Responsibility for internal and external tax compliance for Dutch central holding companies.
Planning and implementing local and cross-border structuring initiatives and transactions, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations and internal tax policies.
Reviewing and addressing tax structural implications for complex mergers and acquisitions and post-merger integration activities.
Master’s Degree in Dutch Tax Law or comparable
Minimum of 8-10+ years’ experience as a tax advisor and/or in-house tax counsel in multinational setting
Outstanding knowledge of Dutch corporate taxation with significant experience in practical application of international tax strategy activities
Proven track record of interacting, building and maintaining relationships with senior leadership and senior tax officials
Self-starter with excellent communications and interpersonal skills
Strong teaming and collaboration skills essential
Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills
Proficiency in tax research and Microsoft Office tools
Fluent in English
