As a Project Manager at VanBerlo you play an important role in bringing together the different aspects of our challenging innovative projects. Navigating through fuzzy front end, supporting the client in finding the right approach and guiding the team through it will be a daily recurring challenge that you enjoy tackling.
You will be responsible for the plan, internal resources, the budget and the administration of the project while managing the client’s expectations. You have a full studio of talented creatives within reach to form an excellent team to bring these innovative projects to a success.
Even though you are not responsible for creating content, with a good understanding of what it is that needs to be done you will guide the team towards great results.
What are we looking for?
For our complex projects, often involving physical and digital aspects, we look for an experienced project manager that is able to speak the language of designers, mechanical and electrical engineers and software developers. You will be the spider in the web that brings all these people together and supports them in creating the ultimate propositions for our clients.
You feel comfortable discussing budget matters with our clients and explaining the value we offer in return. Building a good relationship between the team and the client is your second nature.
A fuzzy question from our clients at the beginning of a project makes you feel like a fish in the water and you are experienced in guiding the client to a concrete plan with a minimum amount of input.

- Have 5+ years of experience working in product development, preferably on the agency side
- Have a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in product design or engineering or a related topic
- Preferably have basic knowledge of electronics and software development in order to guide our digital engineers through the projects as well
- Are comfortable managing client expectations, even when the expectations are vague at the start of a project
- Are a social animal that gets energy out of connecting with internal and external stakeholders
- Are familiar with project management theories like waterfall, stage gate and agile
- Are organized and willing to put in that little extra effort to document all project information correctly
- Are used to working with budgets of 100-500K and teams of up to 6-7 people
- Are fluent in English, both spoken and written
