Scheduling and Optimization Internship


Within Accenture’s Salesforce Business Group, we develop and implement innovative Salesforce solutions at the client. While doing that, we help our customers lift their service offering to the next level. For this internship you will focus on optimizing field service schedules.

Your Job
In some industries service requests require technicians to perform the job on site. Field Service Lightning (FSL) Salesforce provides all the tools to deliver intelligent and productive onsite service, manage your workforce and intelligently schedule all required service jobs. Moreover, with intelligent scheduling, jobs are automatically assigned to the right resource on basis of time, business KPIs, locations and others. The trick, however, is to setup the right optimization strategy for the client’s challenges and KPIs.
In this internship, you will: (1) Investigate the typical drivers / KPIs within the Field Service industry which drives an optimization strategy, (2) Discover which optimization techniques are used to steer this behavior within FSL, (3) Determine which optimization techniques have direct relationships with each other, (4) Describe a plan to implement the optimization strategy for each of the drivers within FSL, and (5) Analyze the current limitations and future possibilities.

Your background
  • Bachelor or Master student in IT, Business IT or related studies
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • Self-starter and independent worker
  • Proactive, eager to learn and able to solve complex issues
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on the business value of IT; the ability to communicate the value of IT and the business impact.
  • Available for 4-6 months
