Our Software & Platforms Industry team, are a group of entrepreneurial and collaborative problem-solvers with a passion for supporting local, European, and global ecommerce-, marketplace-, software-, social- and cloud platform companies to innovate, scale and succeed.
As Software & Platforms Industry Sales Lead you will be part of the Accenture Sales function, but this is not a sales role in the traditional sense. You will be at the intersection of Strategy & Consulting, Technology, Operations and Sales.
You will bring a thorough understanding of the Software & Platform Industry, including business models, trends, technologies, challenges, and opportunities. You will use this to combine the best Accenture has to offer and tailor it to client needs. Doing so you will play a key role in driving the continued expansion of one of Accenture’s most fast-growing industry groups.
Your focus will be to lead the client engagement and sales process for opportunities from point of origination and sales pursuit to close, using deep sales process and expertise of relevant enterprise and domain specific capabilities.
The role includes developing relationships with key buyers and decision makers at new and/or existing clients to grow the business. In this role you collaborate with a variety of specialists within Accenture including solution teams to help develop custom programs, commercial teams and client teams to help expand and strengthen overall client relationships.
Your role - in summary:
Develop relationships with key buyers, influencers and decision-makers for Accenture services at new and/or existing clientsOriginate, shape, sell and close deals that are single or multi service
Develop and manage win strategy, negotiation strategy and close plan of your deals
Aggregate a team of experts around you to create innovative answers to client needs
Shape commercial model to differentiate from the competition
Engage the firm’s leadership as appropriate to shepherd the deal through the firm’s approval process
Orchestrate the broader Accenture ecosystem to bring the best Accenture has to offer and tailor to client needs
Define partnership strategy and develop relationships with key partners in strategic domains.

- 5-10 years of experience: in technology strategy or sales, preferably within a technology or consulting firm
- Relevant experience: with large scale digital, technology or business transformations in the world of e-commerce-, marketplace-, software-, social- and cloud platform companies
- You have experience shaping creative commercial constructs which link to value and business outcomes
- Entrepreneurial: proven entrepreneurship and ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Responsible: you are not afraid to take end-to-end responsibility during a sales cycle
- Team spirit: you enjoy working in a team and coaching junior team members
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English mandatory and Dutch preferred); the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions in a simple, logical and impactful manner
- Completed Master’s degree preferred
