Your job

Do you like to solve problems and improve a team’s ways of working? Do you like to work socially and communicatively? You want to learn quickly and on a variety of different projects? This might be the job for you! As a Scrum Master you support teams to develop valuable products by facilitating them to outcomes, ensuring strong collaboration and communication with the key stakeholders. You aim to help teams become high-performing and help motivate them to value test-learn culture and continuous improvement. As a Junior Scrum Master in the Accenture Business Agility practice you will:

  • Conduct the Scrum Events of the Team (Daily stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives and other Agile Events)
  • Help establish Agile teams and guide them on their way to build valuable solutions
  • Teach and Mentor teams on continuous improvement, using Scrum and Agile principles, techniques, and practices
  • Coach existing teams to help them reach new levels of Agility
  • Help the Product Owner create a clear and valuable vision and share it with the team and the stakeholders
  • Help the Product Owner prioritize the work in the backlog
  • Protect the team to keep focus on delivering valuable products
  • Promote agile ways of working with many people of various levels in the organization
  • Engage in knowledge sharing sessions with your Accenture peers to grow
  • Take part in our Agile Coaching Traineeship and craft your personal learning journey together with your own mentor

Your background

  • You are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing (fluency in Dutch is a plus).
  • You have a BSc. or MSc. degree (HBO or WO).
  • You have effective communication and facilitation skills
  • You behave with a coaching and mentoring attitude
  • Proactivity, problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability is one of your strengths.
  • You have been in one or two tough situations of teamwork and can reflect on it by sharing your learnings.
  • You are eager to learn, and your curiosity is limitless.
  • Ideally, you are experienced in using Agile tools like Jira, Confluence, targetprocess or Azure DevOps.
  • Bonus points if you have a special interest in a functional business area or IT-related practice. For example, data and analytics, CI/CD, Extreme Programming, etc.
