The Resources industry is facing an era of severe disruption. The energy transition and sustainability targets are driving a re-thinking of traditional business models, with innovation and digital driving further change acceleration. As consequence, we see utilities, energy and chemical companies starting to reconsider their traditional roles and to start to play in a more and more converging market. This raises questions as to what the future of the organization will look like and how to successfully pivot into this new reality. We see this time of disruption as an excellent opportunity to make purpose one of the design principles of the future model of an organization. Indeed, purpose is often a key part of our client discussions around the transition. Companies are seeking for ways to define positive impacts for society and to ensure a long-term prosperous future for the company.
