You find new ways to solve complex challenges.
Regardless the process, you find a way to make it more efficient.
You are a natural-born leader.
You like to find new and better ways to do things.
In contemporary literature and research, the future of our planet is one of the most popular topics worldwide. Without a doubt, innovative and flexible solutions are required to handle the future of our global energy system and material flows. Energy aggregators, electric mobility, local energy batteries, climate risk assessments, hydrogen and other topics are examples of subjects that play an important role in the energy transition and sustainability in a broader sense. Accenture operates at the frontline of these developments, combining new technologies (e.g. artificial intelligence, machine learning or blockchain) with our deep understanding of the energy system.
Within Utilities we work with our clients to define their strategy, optimize their capabilities such as asset management, operations and organizational development. We also support them with digitization and help them to be successful in accelerating the energy transition.
As an Accenture thesis intern, you will investigate innovations and new technologies in the Dutch Utilities sector focusing on current hot topics like eMobility, balancing electricity supply and demand, capacity issues and the changing energy ecosystem. You will have the freedom and support of Accenture to identify and develop innovations in one of the most rapidly changing sectors of the Netherlands. The Utilities community has identified the following research topics:
- Market exploration of EV-market for ‘semi’s’ (transport, eMobility) or bundling of EV products
- Net zero industry
- Built environment
- Flexibility (grid)
- RES production/ generation
- Digital Operations
- Agile Implementation & Operations
- Digital Adoption in Operations
- Workforce Transformation
- New Topic.
Accenture asks you to choose at least one of the topics above and think about how you would approach this topic during your internship at Accenture. Please include this in your motivation letter. Suggesting a new topic is possible, provided it is relevant to the Dutch utilities industry.
The everchanging pace of market developments will only continue to accelerate in the future – and many organizations struggle to challenge new innovative competition within the market. How do different innovations influence the market, what are the results and how can companies adapt themselves to remain relevant in the future?
Accenture Strategy & Consulting is the driving force in helping companies answer such questions. You will advise senior management in their next steps – based on data analysis, experience, expertise and an innovative approach. Together with a diverse team of experts, you will challenge current industry obstacles and find the key solution for clients in their current markets: Surpassing the disruption and consolidating future success for organizations.
