Our Accenture Song office in Amsterdam is looking for a Business Design Manager to join our Business Design team. This role requires a unique blend of creative thinking, business acumen, entrepreneurial mindset and leadership skills.
The strategists, pragmatists and creative thinkers on our Business Design team establish human-centric business strategies for our clients, using both design and strategy to structure the business impact of design at a strategic, operational and organizational level. As a Business Design Manager, you will be responsible for shaping and defining business design activities throughout engagements at the project level. You’ll manage others, establish the approach, estimate the levels of effort and facilitate knowledge sharing. It’s your chance to influence and shape the impact design has on the world – design is the problem-solving paradigm of our age, and business design is our way of shaping that impact. You will act as a bridge between the 4 pillars of successful innovation: desirability, viability, feasibility and adaptability.
As Business Design Manager, you:
Lead business design activities including client workshops, stakeholder interviews, business intelligence gathering and creative brainstorms.
Manage business design relationships with partners and clients, owning one client relationship at a time.
Assume responsibility for the overall quality of the Business Design team's work on a project or account.
Create and manage Business Design Deliverables including: design of strategies, design of new ventures, business model innovation, organization design and business/investment case generation.
Use discovery-driven planning and financial modeling to explore the business model possibilities behind design concepts and to shape and influence their design.
Build the business through cultivating key client relationships and selling in business design related work.
Provide Business Design coaching to the wider design team in project and business development contexts, overseeing the work of the team.

A minimum of 7 years of industry experience including both contributing to and managing teams.
Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and support each individuals’ style and growth.
Rigorous business acumen across many of the following areas, and preferably specialization in one or two: Start-ups, Business model innovation, Product Management, Scenario planning/forecasting and Design.
A master’s degree in e.g., Strategic Product Design, Marketing, Innovation or MBA.
Outstanding storytelling skills.
Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
