Job Title:                     Austria, Switzerland and Germany (ASG) Tax Manager

Reports to:                  Regional Tax Director

Functional Area:        Finance/ Tax


The successful candidate will be a member of Accenture’s European tax team, providing tax advice on all the corporate tax aspects of the ASG operations (separate teams manage indirect and payroll tax issues but you will work closely with them). You will report to the ASG/Gallia Tax Director. The role is based in Amsterdam. 

Task and responsibilities:

  • Support the business operations as well as finance and legal departments with day-to-day tax questions

  • Support in V&A projects and post-acquisition integrations (Accenture is very active in acquisitions and there is substantial work in managing Due Diligence (performed by professional advisers), and post-acquisition integration)

  • Initiate and implement tax planning and tax simplification for ASG countries and cooperate on with group level initiatives.

  • Research (international) tax issues, legislative developments and evaluate the potential impact for Accenture. Contribute to raising tax awareness within Accenture.

  • Oversee the ASG tax compliance (performed by local Controllership teams supported by outside advisers but supervised by GTG)

  • Monitor tax positions and give feedback to the regional tax director with respect to potential tax optimization. Implement local and

  • Manage tax audits with support from Controllership, outside advisers and internal transfer pricing team.

  • Review of quarterly and annual US GAAP income tax provisions; manage creation and maintenance of unrecognized tax positions.

  • Build and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as Legal, Finance, country management, tax authorities and tax advisors

Qualifications and profile:

  • University degree in Fiscal Law or Fiscal Economics

  • Approx. 5-8 years of relevant tax experience obtained within a general international tax practice (Vpb) and/or as an in-house Tax Specialist of a Multinational

  • Fluent in English (written and oral). German language skills are an advantage

  • Proficient with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

  • Flexible, quick learner, positive ''can do'' attitude

  • Ability to multi-task, ability to adapt to changing priorities
